One-Night Fundraiser for Immigrants!

Allan Friedman and Judea Reform are leading the way for people to help vulnerable immigrants in our community. On Thursday, July 11 at 6:30, if you are in town and willing to come to Judea Reform (1933 W. Cornwallis Rd, Durham) that evening to be a part of a musician choir to sing some easy Social Justice pieces, please email Allan and let him know you have interest in participating. The public is also invited to come and hear the choir and musicians sing and play Jewish and civil rights music.

Free Community Concert

The joint choirs of St. Philip’s Episcopal and First Presbyterian churches of Durham, accompanied by orchestra and organ, will present a Spring Concert featuring the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré and anthems by John Rutter. Free and open to the public, the concert is made possible by a gift from the Horst and Ruth Mary Meyer Fund for Music and Gardens.

Celebrating 100 years of Music Making featuring FPC’s Century-old Austin organ. Sunday, November 20 at 4:00 p.m. in the FPC Sanctuary. Kathy Parkins, organ, assisted by Joe Robinson, oboe, Mary Kay Robinson, violin, Ben Maxwell, cello, and Lesley Curtis, soprano, performing works by Bach, Buxtehude, Elgar, Rachmaninoff, George Thalben-Ball. Event is free and open to the public. Childcare will be available for church members.
All Saints’ Sunday, November 5

Sunday, November 5 will be observed as All Saints’ Sunday at FPC. We invite you to our 11:00 a.m. worship – a service in which we will remember (by roll call) our family, members, and friends who joined the communion of saints during the past twelve months. The sacrament of holy communion will also be celebrated. All are welcome.
