Join us on Easter Sunday morning at 9:00 for a Psalm Service with Holy Communion in the Memorial Garden

Sunday, April 5 – Easter, Resurrection of the Lord

9:00 a.m.           Holy Communion (Memorial Garden)

9:45 a.m.           Sunday School

11:00 a.m.         Worship Service with Holy Communion

The One Great Hour of Sharing Offering will be received during worship. Your generous gifts to this special offering help provide relief to those affected by natural disasters, provide food to the hungry, and assist in helping to empower  the poor and oppressed.  Following the worship service, donors may take Easter lilies and share them with loved ones.

Yoga ClassJoin FPC member Brianna Honea as she leads an active, fun and FREE yoga class! Just wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. You don’t need to bring anything; just bring yourself. Music and Arts Camp
June 16 – 20, 2014

This year, following Vacation Church School each day, FPC will offer an extended-day music and arts camp from 2:00-5:00 p.m. for rising first graders through fifth graders at the church.  Transportation from camp to the church can be arranged, if requested. The cost of this camp will be $10 per day and will include snacks, the cost of the materials, and the cost of the helpers. Scholarships will be available. This extended day camp will have a limit, so please let Kathy Parkins know if you want to enroll your child.

VCS is for campers age 4 years – 5th grade

Efird Lectures underway!

Thursdays, March 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 10:30 a.m. – 12 Noon in Watts-Hill Hall, Dr. James (Mickey) Efird, Professor Emeritus of Biblical Interpretation at Duke Divinity School, presents a series of lectures on the four Gospel accounts of the Resurrection of Jesus. The lectures are free and open to the public.

On Sunday, December 11, FPC will host a donor drive from noon to 2 p.m. to boost the international bone marrow/stem cell registry and to support and stand in solidarity with Florence and others like her. Our neighboring churches and organizations will be invited to participate, as well.
