Join FPC member Brianna Honea as she leads an active, fun and FREE yoga class! Just wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. You don’t need to bring anything; just bring yourself. Free Concert Benefiting Durham Summer Service Week


Saturday June 25, 7p.m at Durham Friends Meeting House (404 Alexander Drive, Duke’s Central Campus). All donations benefit Durham Summer Service Week. Featuring the sounds of Pandora (cool vocal harmonies), The Lucky Strikes (smokin’ hot strings), Terry Allebaugh (searing harmonica riffs) and other guest performers.
Third Friday Concert at FPC on June 17th – J Kutchma

Solo artist and frontman for Durham’s Red Collar, J Kutchma brings his original gospel punk stories, ballads and anthems to the sanctuary on Friday June 17 at 7 PM.
Third Friday Concert at FPC on May 20th – Sad Magazine


First Presbyterian returns to Third Friday Durham with a series of summer concerts. The first on May 20 at 7 PM features Andrew Snee and Robert Graham of the acoustic rock duo Sad Magazine. They are both guitarists/songwriters with a rich history in the Triangle music community. Show is free and open to public.
Sunday, April 10 – Rodger Yutaka Nishioka

Rodger Nishioka holds the Benton Family Chair in Christian Education at Columbia Theological Seminary. He is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University, McCormick Theological Seminary, and Georgia State University. Prior to his joining the faculty at Columbia, he served as the Coordinator for Youth and Young Adult Ministries for the General Assembly Council of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The son of a retired Presbyterian pastor, Rodger is evidence that you can be a pastor’s kid and still love Jesus.
Durham Youth Summer Service Week


The Durham Summer Service Week is open to rising 9th – 12th graders interested in serving Durham neighbors in need, while learning more about our community and themselves. Tuition is $250 and includes transportation between worksites, meals and adult supervision. For more information and to apply, contact [email protected]. Enrollment is limited to 15 students. Registration deadline is April 30.
Third Friday Event! – NCSU Gospel Choir on March 18th


First Presbyterian Church will participate in Durham’s downtown monthly Third Friday activities on March 18th. The featured attraction at the church is the North Carolina State University Gospel Choir “Uninhibited Praise”, beginning at 7:00pm. Doors will open at 6:30 pm to view a photography exhibit by Eugene A. Brown. The exhibit will be on view both prior to and following the gospel choir performance. The event is free and open to the public.
